Hi, I’m Mark. I like static type systems, cryptography, and networks. Outside the world of 1s and 0s, I enjoy skiing, 9-ball pool, running, biking, guitar, hiking, doggo memes, Magic: the Gathering, Spanish, traveling, and generally most other things about life. I also somehow don’t think my interests define me as a person.
This past summer I worked at Braintree, internationalizing the new control panel. In the past I’ve worked at Keybase, bringing usable crypto to the masses. I also do cool things for Uncommon Hacks on the tech team. I live in Chicago with my wonderful girlfriend Sophie, taking classes at UChicago from incredible people like this guy and this guy.
I’m in the early stages of a thesis on typeclasses in Standard ML, advised by Adam Shaw. Cool things are in store for winter and spring 2019!
